Meet the Doctor

Neil Woods, DDSHelping people through dentistry is a passion for Dr. Woods. He likes to restore people’s confidence by improving their oral health and giving them a bright, straight smile. He believes in providing a friendly atmosphere where gentle, knowledgeable dentistry is performed and where no question is unimportant or concern too small. He believes in being there for his patients 24 hours a day and encourages emergency calls at any time.

Education

Dr. Neil Woods graduated from the prestigious NYU School of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. His general practice residency was at the Children’s Hospital in Baltimore where he also toured University of Maryland Dental School, University Hospital and Johns Hopkins Cleft Palate Clinic as part of the Department of Community Dentistry of Baltimore.

Dr. Woods has advanced training in dental surgical techniques, mini dental implants, relaxation dentistry, Invisalign® and cosmetic techniques.

Knowing it requires an immense amount of continuing education to stay on top of new processes and techniques, Dr. Woods has participated in hundreds of classroom hours to ensure high-tech, gentle dentistry is provided for his patients.

Associations

Dr. Woods is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA), and DOCS (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation).

He is a past president of the Anne Arundel County Dental Society and Western Shore Dental Society (the local branch of the American Dental Association).

Community work

Dr. Woods likes to help kids with programs that make their lives more prosperous and healthy and he has undertaken a number of programs to do just that, including sponsoring -“Friends of Narconon” for Anne Arundel County— urging kids to stay away from drugs. For a number of years he ran a dental clinic in the basement of a church in Baltimore City to help those too poor to afford dental work. He also served as Chairman of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area of WISE, teaching people how to run their businesses ethically and profitably.
